We are based just outside the small village of Santa Cruz del Comercio in the Poniente Granadina region of Andalucia. We are ideally positioned, being just 30 minutes from Granada Airport with flights from East Midlands, Liverpool, Stanstead and Gatwick. We are 1 hr 20 minutes from Malaga Airport with flights from all major airports.
Our location puts us on the doorstep of the beautiful Sierra Nevada and Sierra Tejada mountain ranges which offer great walking opportunities for all levels of fitness and ability.
The beauty of the countryside, and the opportunities to see rare wildlife and birds normally native only to Southern Spain, make this an ideal holiday for those with an interest in art, nature and ornithology.
Cultural visits to Antequera, Cordoba and Granada are a must for those who enjoy history, architecture, photography and art.
Throughout the year each town holds a number of fiestas. These can be simple village affairs with flamenco dancing and food prepared by the villagers, to five day events that incorporate lots of fun activities for the children, horse displays, rock bands and fairgrounds. The Spanish certainly know how to party!
We are situated close enough to the coast that we can incorporate days at the beach and nights in the bars of Torremolinos and Fuengirola with the opportunity to enjoy canoeing and sailing on beautiful Lake Bermejales situated just 20 minutes from our village.
